The fine folks at Starbucks just gave me a big box of cookies that they can’t sell anymore since they expire today. Of course, I currently have nowhere to store them, so the next person on the street who asks me for money or food is going to get more than they bargained for!

Especially since they can’t use it to buy liquor.
Half the time I do that- give them a granola or fruit bar or something instead of change, they tell me they have diabetes and can’t eat it! Did you have any takers?
Yeah, it actually worked out pretty well.
There was this particular McDonald’s on the street that I was staying that I would walk by every night, and there would usually be a group of several guys congregated around there asking for food.
So I stopped by there on the way home that night and opened up the box and gave them some, and left the box there on the table for anyone else who might want some.
