A yet-to-be-determined prize to the first person to guess who uttered the following words of wisdom:
- I think the baby-boomer parent ought to say, “I’ve learned from mistakes I may or may not have made.”
- You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test.
- The power that be, well most of the power that be, sits right here.
- Rarely is the question asked, Is our children learning?
- Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream.
- I am mindful not only of preserving executive powers for myself, but for predecessors as well.

bush?
Arnold?
no,
You.
You got it right the first time. I guess as a prize I will have to help you out with that database page you e-mailed me about.
Hell Yeah!
It is hard to learn and understand tenses, grammar and all around oral commuication for some people. Especially foreign people!
Heh, it was Bush, so I don’t think he’s got an excuse. (Even though I wouldn’t put it past him given his knowledge of foreign affairs to actually believe that Texas is it’s own country).
While in most circumstances I would never criticize someone for the way they talk or a lack of communication skills, we are talking about the leader of the country that many consider to be the head of the free world. I think part of that job description would include being able to *read a prepared speech* off a teleprompter without stumbling all over yourself and sounding dumb (often). Maybe I’m just crazy.
I was thinking I should be the last person to criticize his speach because if you have ever talked to me or read my blog I too lack the communication skills to be president.
Jared - I am doing rentacoder.com for that project so since I won can you help me decide on a good coder? Thanks, I know you just said yes.
No prob. Just forward me the info - bids, etc.
Jared, what he gets away with is astounding, but his reliance on the ignorance of his constituents is frightening.
