In support of my post below, here are some stats from the Bush/Gore debates in 2000, listing how many times these words were uttered:

  • Middle Class : 15
  • Working Class: 0
  • Prosperity: 16
  • Poverty: 1
  • Wealthiest: 20
  • Poorest: 1
  • Crime (street): 23
  • Crime (corporate or white collar): 0
  • Seniors: 64
  • Teenagers: 0
