Lip syncing revelations

I realized today after being saturated with stories regarding the recent SNL controversy that there is a common thread that runs through that whole Britney/boy-band style that causes me not to like it. It’s not really even about whether or not they lip sync, but the fact that they could and it probably wouldn’t make much difference. Every word, note, gesture and dance move is so scripted that it becomes lifeless, and to me whether it’s a recording or their real voice doesn’t even matter. It’s so devoid of the kind of passion and honesty that makes music feel authentic, that it just comes off as watered down fluff.

Oh, well - I guess that’s what happens when I post from my PDA. I’ll have to remember to go back and spellcheck things later when I do that.
