Stalked by MSN

Further analysis of my logs revealed that the new MSN search is hammering my site. Not that I’m reaching my bandwidth limit or anything, but the “msnbot” hits my pages approximately 30 times more than google’s indexing bot. Might be time to implement some blocking, considering I couldn’t give a rip whether my site shows up in MSN’s search results.

First outage

My first service outage from my current hosting company (that I’m aware of) occurred yesterday, and lasted up to 3.5 hours (according to the logs - it may not have been exactly that long, but probably pretty close). Fortunately, it was resolved fairly quickly. Read More »
