Robert De Niro respect-o-meter just took a sharp dive

    Didn’t catch it. What happened?

The usual SNL skit (these days). I don’t remember the premise, but the “funny” part was supposed to be him reading a long list of names that when you hear them sound like something either rude or “suggestive”. Not that I don’t appreciate that occasional type of joke (like Bart’s phone calls to Moe on the Simpsons), but it went on for several minutes, and it was just kind of lame. I guess I just thought of De Niro as the kind of guy who was too cool for that sort of thing.

That kind of humor is funny for about 1 minute. It sounds like a lame Las Vegas warm up comedian.
