Airport security

Feel safer?

Worst man for a given job:

John Bolton, nominated for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Multiple former diplomats (both Republican and Democrat) unite in opposing the nomination, and for good reason. I’ve been listening to the hearings this morning on the radio, during which several speeches made by Mr. Bolton were played (word-for-word, in context) in which he clearly states his disdain for the UN, claiming that it is essentially worthless, and that it’s only useful purpose is to put an international wrapping around US policy when it suits us, and should be ignored otherwise. After hearing all this, as well as his reaction to being confronted with the facts, I cannot imagine him being confirmed to this position.

Man, I need to categorize my posts better

Maybe I will do that later today. I just realized that people who recently discover my blog should have an easier way of navigating back through all the insightful posts on topics that interest them, while ignoring those that don’t.

Give it up

“Sith” Faithful Hold the Line - even though they may be lining up in front of the wrong theatre.

I think the time for lining up to see Star Wars has passed. It was cool in a geeky sort of way the first time, but now it’s kind of sad. Of course, I will see the first available show (~midnight) as I have with the other recent episodes, but I won’t be spending hours or days waiting in line for it.

Hey, everybody

I just noticed on Nathan’s blog that Jeremy has a blog!
