The Christmas lights are officially up as of tonight!
I think today I realized why more and more people start decorating for Christmas earlier and earlier (like Thanksgiving) - it’s because if you wait until later you never have time to do it.

yey! i made a video/took photos of my display, but was too warn out to edit/post last night, so maybe tonight…
It also gets to a point where its almost not even worth the effort because then you just have to turn around and take them down anyways. Nathan almost headed out with more lights last night and I said forget it…we leave town tomorrow anyways, why not use your small amount of energy to do the dishes:-). Thanks babe!
That was Martha’s advice yesterday too; but I decided that I should still do it, since the kids would still like it, and I did say I would do it (I just didn’t say when).

yeah, lisa was right though, i already have about two dozen strands of lights out there, i just have a few strands i haven’t used yet. i guess i’ll have to just not get sick next year.
The best year was when Randy Jr. insisted on having lights and we said we didn’t want to do it, if he wanted them he would have to put them up himself. So he did. Unfortunately, he didn’t take them down. That was the house we moved out of about 8 years ago. I think the lights are still up.
