Actually, I was going to drive out to do something else anyway, so I just passed by to try and satisfy my curiosity. I didn't bother waking anyone up since it only lasted for about one full second (maybe even slightly less), and it didn't happen again after that (although I stood there and watched for quite a while to see if it would). I think you should investigate more fully. Only you might stumble onto something dangerous, so be careful. Or maybe it was somthing from one of the gas or oil wells, or something like that.
