Martha was going over Emma’s history homework with her tonight and she saw a bunch of random words highlighted in her textbook. She asked Emma why those were highlighted, and Emma said that she highlights the ones that people pronounce wrong when they’re reading aloud in class.

That is great! I love it.
She’s a turkey!
Oh my gosh! That’s… well, I don’t know. It’s really funny, I think. I’ve always wondered what she is thinking while I am talking to her. Now I know. She’s making a mental note of my improper pronunciation. I wonder if she has a notebook at home with a list after my name.
I have a friend who used to read the “bulletin” during church, including the pastor’s outline and circle the mistakes, then put it in the offering plate. Better stop Emma before she goes that far.
She is still your friend?
Well, it was a “he” and I try not to write people off just because they have faults. It’s a little trait I learned from Jesus.
high five for that one!
Geez…I’ll go cower in the corner and bang my head on the wall now.
