I just watched the opening credits of the new Apprentice show, and it lists their “team names” in the credits. “Gold Rush” wasn’t great, but I think everyone on whatever team chose the name “Synergy Corporation” should be fired right off the bat just for their choice of names.

Why? Cause it’s cheesy and overused?
I think Synergy is a bit overused buzzword.
How about: The producer’s odd collection of assorted types.
Didn’t the bridge use synergy at some point? Or is that your point.
No, I don’t remember the bridge using it. “Synergy” to me is the classic representation of “corporate speak” that I don’t really like too much. But even if you’re into that sort of thing, to use it as a name for your team is kind of lame, IMO.
yeah, corporate speak, I hate that.
Pac Bell/SBC ( now att) managers all spoke that way and it drove me crazy.
There are some times when using new terms is relevant or at least OK, but I’ve only ever heard this one in the context of someone trying to make themselves sound smarter when they’re really just talking a bunch of BS.
Hearing the “s” word is like nails on chalkboard to me.
It’s a bit pretentious for me.
It reminds of a Seinfeld episode where everyone started to eat candy bars with a fork and knife because they thought it was sophisticated.
whoa dave z and i commented at the exact same time
the worst is that in communicates such an important concept: works well with others, in such a sterile, pathetic way.
Jared, Re: Trump, sit down before you read this
http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1999/10/08/trump.transcript/
sorry, above is from a story from ‘99 but it has been a recently revived issue…….
Trump is now exploring running for PRESIDENT of the United States!!
he expects it to be the greatest presidency ever.
his campaign is going to be _huge_.
He will make the biggest nuke the world has ever seen…… ” we’ll call it ……The AtomicDonald ” - ” yes, I like it “, says Trump. Carolyn and George will agree with Trump.
Trump will beat Hillary.
I’ve resisted commenting on this one until now, since Trump has absolutely NO chance of winning the presidency. If that ever happened, I think I would actually have to consider moving out of the country. Of course, when you think about who we’ve got right now, maybe Trump wouldn’t be that much worse, but still….
Funny about the ‘ Alec Baldwin ‘ moving out of the country type of comment.
Last night the reward for the winning apprentice team was helping 3 down on their luck professional guys pick out free business suits/shirts etc.
See how Trump is like the bridge now.
profits vs. prophets
Nathan, the last two comments put you ahead of Dan for the count.
yes! i want to thank all the little people…and the pirates!
