when they know just enough about a certain subject (like “hacking” in this case) to make themselves look really dumb.

it was an entertaining read, but i have to say i agree with these comments, just as someone who has to deal with people that don’t know what an operating system is all the time.
Ya, I read those too. I do agree that he could have been a little more friendly with the guy, but I don’t know about actually starting to make phone calls to track down the problem, etc. As the author stated in another comment, that kind of thing costs money, and since he is developing the OS for free anyway, he probably can’t afford to provide that level of support. Of course, I agree he could have explained this fact even more succinctly and with less of an insulting tone, but then again that wouldn’t have been as funny.
