haha, i was close to getting one for you for mother's day, but
1. i wasn't sure if you (martha) actually iron
2. ya'll mighta already got one
3. it would be in responce to jared's needs, so less compelling as a mom's day gift.

He has tons of shirts, he just wears the same ones over and over. I got an iron tonight. Don't know how much it was. They don't last long when they fall on the floor.

Ha ha! When I first read that comment, I thought it was Martha, until I saw the name. Sounds familiar...

they still need ironing because they usually sit in the dryer or on the floor for a few days before you wear them or they get hung. also our loads are stuffed so full they hardly have room to move.

I bought an iron my freshmen year at Purdue (1996) and it just quit on me a couple of months ago. 10 years isn't too bad for the $10 I paid for it at Walmart way back then! Of course, who knows how long a $10 iron would last for your family of 5, but I don't think I ever see your boys in clothes that require ironing.
Jared- just get wrinkle free shirts. Manufacturers usually use that as a selling point in the men's department- I've noticed this since I got married and looked for things for Randy.

Yes, I usually do my own laundry, and it usually involved wearing all my clothes until I run out of good ones and then doing loads that are too big for the washer and dryer.

I'd be fine with getting an iron for that price. It makes sense that they would be cheap; it's not exactly a complicated device.
