Who’s in?

X3, tomorrow night.

PS - I’m already starting this one off with a gripe. From the trailers I’ve seen, the Juggernaut looks more like a regular size guy, whereas in the comics, he’s supposed to be abnormally large. Granted, various artists have drawn him differently over the years, but he’s usually quite a bit bigger than average people, as opposed to just looking like a regular guy with a big helmet on. News flash: it’s 2006 - use CGI.

I’m still optimistic that the movie will be good anyway, though.

[...] Jared, Nathan, Randy, Kristi and I went to see X3 tonight and it was ah’ right. I don’t really know what it was but I’m going to blame the Director. Especially since he’s got so much flake for taking the job in the first place and people saying he was going to ruin the movie. I’d have to say that he did because no matter how bad the writing is the direction of the movie supersedes all. The major problems that I noticed were the quirky edits with lame cuts making the movies pace. The movie was a quick one not in physical time, but the speed of the story was fast and the slow parts to help the audience catch up were just corny. These were the times for character development and connection but instead they made good as filler. It seemed weird for me not to connect with any of the characters at all, something that I had from the first two. I’ll have to watch the other two again and make sure they weren’t as bad but I was a little disappointed with this one. It just seemed rushed and poorly directed. Maybe the critics were right in saying Ratner would screw it up and the production schedule made for a rushed movie, I don’t know but all I know is when I bought that $10 ticket I watched my own movie, blocked out the negativity and concluded on my own the movie wasn’t great. It wasn’t great but it was good and I would suggest seeing it if you liked the first two, I’d just be hesitant to expect an awesome movie which I wanted. [...]

Whenever it is good for you, since we can probably be more flexible with our schedule than you can, what with the kids and the wife and all. We can go anytime after 5 or so.

I’m definitely in. Taylor and Roger might want to come too. Just tell me the time.

Let’s just pick a time. I personally would prefer sometime after the kids go to bed (like around 9). There are 9:00, 9:35, 10:05 & 10:30 at the 16 and 9:20 or 10:20 downtown.

    What do you guys think?

We should probably buy the tickets on fandango tonight, so they don’t sell out.

Yeah, you guys have fun staying up late, hanging out together and watching a movie- in the theatre I might add. Martha and I will just got to bed at a regular time and get up early to get stuff done while you guys get to SLEEP IN, since you’ll be up so late. How does this seem right? When is it our turn? Oh yeah, second Friday of the month.

It’s OK because Martha can (and does) go out whenever she wants too.

9:35 @ the 16 sounds good to me.

Dan, why is 16 a must? Are you riding your bike or something?
