Is it just me…

or is Seasame Street nowhere near this cool anymore.

I love that they do the super-extended jam version; for some reason I just can’t see them doing that anymore - definitely not on commercial TV, and probably not even on public TV kids shows.

Also, I love how much fun Stevie Wonder always looks like he’s having when he’s playing.

    Its not just you, all the musical guests now usally sing with Elmo (yuck) and change the words for the kids. I want Stevie back!!

    You can set the width and height on any embedded object like this (check the HTML). It’s still just as much data, though, I just didn’t want it taking up that much screen space, so I made the display here small, and linked to the YouTube full-size one.

    Yeah, somehow Norah Jones singing with Elmo about the letter Y just isn’t as cool. A couple years ago, they did a 35th anniversary special with a bunch of the old songs and stuff and it was so much better! That kid rocking out on the balcony is hilarious! If a kid did that now on Sesame Street, they’d probably put her on Ritalin…
