Going green

Being partially inspired by that movie last night, and partially by the desire to lose more weight, I’ve decided to ride my bike on the days that I don’t have to go into the office, which is most of the time these days.

Today was the first day, and it went pretty well, other than having a bit of a sore butt after not being used to riding for a while. Also, the backpack I have that has a laptop pocket in it is not big enough to zip up with my oversize laptop screen, but it was nothing a good bungee cord couldn’t fix.

I can imagine that would be a bit difficult in your situation.

SBS (sore butt syndrome) is inevitable, but I found out that it can be lessened drastically by positioning your seat correctly. I had my seat to high for the first couple weeks I had my bike and my SBS was just getting worse. I then read some articles online suggesting where I could put my seat, and it made things much more comfortable.

don’t forget to consider the nif (nut irritation factory) in whatever your SBS solutions may be.

I told Randy that he’d better not be hurting his “stuff” by sitting on the bicycle seat for long periods of time. Don’t they make a “baby making friendly” seat that doesn’t cause you to be sterile?

Kristi: Maybe that why he rides so much. Oh shoot, I said it. :D
Jared: I like the medical tag and you give me a hard time about my tags. Oh and big laptops, isn’t your computer not considered a laptop? Isn’t it just a best wind blowing apparatus with a monitor attached?

Riding my bike to work is the best.

Re: the tag, I think I may have done that one by accident, so I’m taking it out.

No, it’s definitely a laptop - you guys are just suffering from laptop envy.
