Oh yes that, we had a chance to go back into that office this tuesday and passed. The transport of Avid output over IP is not up to the quality they need. IF they wanted it as is, the plan was one system on the island and 1 in JJ's ( look at the credits ) home and others. That would have been interesting to go to. Could still be a go this fall.

Looks like I did get it, thanks.

I'm always up for more of that certain kind of info you were giving us the other day though (which I won't detail on here).

We are currently getting 400p at rates as low as 128K. Videoconferencing today on 80's tvs looks bad.
High Def is just coming in the biz video market but needs more bandwidth for a multisite call than most businesses can allocate. So it is more of a marketing buzzword than actuallity.

I don't think they should let resolution hold them back, though; most people will be happy with what they can get out of their current equipment, unless they have such insane amounts of bandwidth that they want higher definition video.

They do state they will use an internet connection.
The bandwidth in Tv is above ethernet. I think it is in the 3-5 meg range, so there should be enough bandwidth for videoconferencing.
One smart thing is that they will use the home tv. Up to recently the standard home tv didn't have the resolution required.
