Dasani water - review

I have to confess, I’m turning into a bit of a water snob. All other bottled waters just plain don’t taste as good to me as Dasani water.

I’m in Bloomington, Indiana right now and the tap water tastes like bottled water. I think Randy said he liked it too when he visited out here. It doesn’t have that mineraly taste that most taps have. I love it. Maybe that’s why it’s so hard for me to break the tap water habit- I keep thinking that the taste of the Ventura water will get better.
Dasani is good, and I like our Sparkletts. I am starting to not like Arrowhead because it kind of tastes like dirt to me.

Sell out, and you don’t even have ads on your site.

Hey, like I said before (in person) I did want to post a real review on Dasani. If that also happens to drive more traffic to the site, it’s OK by me.

As for the ads, I’ve been meaning to set up Text Link Ads for a while now, just haven’t gotten around to it.

I never said it was bad, I guess I should have included a :).

TLA is so easy to setup. It’s a plugin now, just install and activate the plugin and place the code in your theme. It’s best to place the script in your page template so you can say that the links will be on thousands of pages rather then a few. but your sidebar is on all your pages anyways so put it at the bottom.

TLA is great, I’m making $100/mnth already on top of the other links I’ve sold on the side.

In case you didn’t see it, I already did it right after I posted that comment. No ads yet, but it’s there.

Good luck, it took me a while to get those 4. The bad news as you already know is they take out so much, 50%. What’s your PR? 5? Mine go for $50 a piece, which they price. Do you know yet what yours are going for? Just interested.

Yes, my PageRank is 5, but I’m not sure whether they use that or not, since they also mention Alexa on their site. I kind of hope not, since I’ve heard that Alexa stats have a lot of accuracy problems.

I’m not sure what the price will be yet, but I figure whatever it is, it’s just payback for something I’m going to be spending money on anyway. It would be nice if the site would pay for itself, though, and anything extra would just be a bonus.

I’m going to try and wrap up a few new plugin ideas and release them in the next few days, as well as updating some external sites that link to me (WPPlugins.net, etc.) which will hopefully drive the rank up a little bit more, too.

I think it uses Pagerank and Alexa. I wouldn’t imagine them relying on Alexa for calculating the absolute price.

Oh, and thanks for not asking me to be an affiliate.

Hmm, it’s moving up. I happened to see this post again last week, and when I checked I was way further down (in the 30’s) and yours wasn’t on there anymore at all (at least not in the top 50). It seems to fluctuate quite a bit.

is Dasani a Coca Cola product?
When I was in NY on the 7th, I had Long Island water and it was very good straight out of the tap. As good as any bottled water.

You have to be crazy to pay money for Dasini as it is just tap water with additives.

Dasini had to pull out of Europe because the Europeans aren’t stupid and realise that tap water is cheaper just by turning on the tap.

Desini seems to be the water that alot of people on T.V. drink, Don Imus says Desani s the best and he is kind of a health nut. I cant see why anyone would drink it if it is only tap water? I live in Concord CA and the tap water here is pretty good so I am going to install a filter. I cant seem to find any natural spring water that is tested and natural that is void of all the bad stuff we get in the tap. Any ideas?

Well, this post is a bit old at this point, and I’ve gotten over the Dasani addiction.

Don’t get me wrong, I still think it’s the best tasting, but since I’ve been drinking so much more of it, I’ve been going for the 20 pack of large (1L) bottles from Costco for $4, and have gotten quite used to the taste; it’s a perfectly fine alternative.
