What are malls coming to?

I took Christian and Riley to the mall tonight, and it struck me that since they lost the book store there, I think there’s now only one store in the entire mall that has anything that interests me (Radio Shack).

They are coming to the people who shop, young people and women. No intelligence necessary.

You don’t have to try on books. Online stores like Amazon are probably taking a huge bite out of traditional booksellers profits making the mall rent prices just too high.

I’ve always hated the mall, so I’m glad to hear that there’s even less reason for me to go there.

Good point about the online sales. I guess it makes sense, because I never really actually bought many books at the mall either (mostly just picking up a comic book for the kids, etc.) I think there will always (or at least for a long while) still be a market for physical book stores, but Borders and B&N are probably taking up all of that market, too.

One thing I’ve wondered about for a while is why a lot of malls don’t have an arcade anymore.

Tools… I don’t think there are really any tools that interest me either.
