Enough with all this tech talk lately; let’s talk about a subject that’s more accessible to the wider reading audience: the upcoming Ghost Rider movie!
The conflict mentioned in the title of this post stems from two opposing movie watching rules that so far I’ve been pretty good at sticking with, but are now clashing with each other.
- I try to see every movie based on a comic book, and this is certainly one of those.
- I generally do NOT see any movies starring Nicolas Cage, since I find him really annoying.
I’ll probably end up seeing it anyway, but it’s a close call.

3. Dan and Nathan are making me go.
So it doesn’t matter.
True
Yeah, I don’t like Cage either. Tony’s super excited about it.
i’m not a huge cage fan and the cg on the skull looks really retarded, but of course i’m going to go see it. it’s ghost rider!
I guess we should plan a date and time to go see it. Tony’s invited too, of course.
Anyone know when it opens? (Yes, I could look, but I’m not going to right now)
according to the imdb page you linked to above, it opens friday.
oh, i forgot to mention that sam elliott being in it outweighs the cage factor. it should have been him talking to tom waits in coffee and cigarettes, not iggy. gruffest voices in show business.
i showed johanna a picture of ghost rider and now she wants to see the movie too. (no, i won’t really take her.)
A. I love sam elliot.
B. Sam wants to go too.
C. What’s the plan? (I know Tony’s busy all day Sat.)
For me, I won’t be able to see it tonight or this weekend, because I’m getting ready to go on a backpacking trip and leaving early tomorrow morning.
Any other time is good for me, though. I guess you guys could always go without me too…
yeah, I’m getting the feeling that Tony won’t be able to see it until after the weekend too.
not too high on Cage either. The last Cage movie I saw was weatherman and it seemed like a bad ‘also ran’ of sideways.
