Rain

The rain seemed to come out of nowhere today. I guess if you’re someone who checks the weather reports maybe it didn’t, but I’m not, and I couldn’t help but think that God was weeping with us today.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been two years now; it seems like forever at times to me.

If you can, come celebrate and remember tonight at Cooke’s Smokehouse.

This Sunday

I am still reeling from this Sunday’s gathering. It is incredible and humbling to experience the kind of care that was extended to the Bridge community from so many of our friends, helping us through the process of dealing with the loss of Tim. Aqueous (a neighboring community to us from Santa Barbara) sent down a whole team of people to take care of all the kids so that we could all be together for the night. David Ruis came to lead us in music, and Dennis Easter came to share as well.

In that deepest, darkest time, when the world has seen fit to shit all over you, and your Bible is nowhere to be found, could you find God? Paul did (and he never knew Jesus).
