[Update] – This plugin is stale
Sorry, but this hasn’t been maintained in a while and may be unsuitable for use in current versions of WordPress, since I don’t use it anymore and therefore haven’t tried it.
It’s also unlikely that I’ll be updating it in the future, but the code is out there and I heartily encourage anyone who wants to take it over / fork it to do so.

Overview
This is a plugin for WordPress that will add the necessary handling to WordPress feed requests so that they will be processed correctly by the Bird Feeder Pepper for the Mint stat tracking system.
I came upon this today as a result of installing Mint and being curious about this particular “pepper”. I did a brief look around on the web and the only solution I saw for WordPress integration involved editing the core WordPress files, which I won’t do (as a policy). I ended up taking the code provided by Chris Hartjes on his blog, and putting it into plugin form.
Installation instructions
Here is the link to download the Mint Bird Feeder Plugin. Also available over at the Peppermill.
Assuming you’ve already followed the directions for installing Mint and the Bird Feeder plugin, simply copy this file into your WordPress plugin directory and activate it using the Plugin management page.
Additional notes
Comment feeds are currently not supported; no seed tracking will be added to them. Also, I have only tested this on WordPress 2.1, without any other feed-modifying plugins enabled, and with Mint in a separate database than WordPress; YMMV.
UPDATE – Version 0.7 supports “seed tracking” for links in the feeds.
UPDATE – Version 0.8 Incorporates bug fixes provided by Ron and Shaun (the Mint dev), as described in this post at the Mint forums.
